Knead started as a small family artisan bakery café in August 2006 in Wembley Square in Cape Town. Today we have 13 stores across Cape Town and Gauteng.

Preparing our Café Food is based on simple, unfussy processes and values. We work with a small store of seasonal ingredients sourced locally and easily available.

When we make bread the dough is kneaded, left to rise slowly, shaped and finally baked in the oven in true artisanal style, throughout the day.
